Increasingly people in America and in Alameda County are going without health care coverage. For those individual living with HIV who cannot afford medical care the APEB Wellness Center provides a variety of free healthcare services. APEB’s clinic is staffed by skilled case workers who help clients with Medicare, Medicaid, and Drug Assistance applications. No HIV Positive person needing medical care is turned away from the Wellness Center. Since 1983 the APEB Wellness Center has been providing high quality, state of the art, and conscientious care to support the health of our client’s; mind, body and spirit. At two convenient locations APEB Wellness Center provides: Primary Health Care, Acute Care, Physicals, Vaccines and a variety of HIV related Labs. The Wellness Center also includes a Counseling Center staffed by two Psychologists, and a mental health Case Worker. Patients with concerns about mental health, substance abuse, anxiety, depression or who just feel like they need to talk are eligible for free counseling with our skilled team.
